Podcasting Workshop at USF

On November 27, 2007, the Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence (C21TE) along with the Florida Center for Instructional Technology (FCIT), the Tampa Campus Library (LIB), and Academic Computing (ACOMP) will present a workshop on Podcasting for faculty at the University of South Florida (USF).

The workshop, titled “Overview of Podcasting-related Technologies at USF” will be conducted in the TECO Room of the College of Education, from 9 am to noon.

This session is open to faculty and staff, and it will include examples of the use of Podcasting (including iTunes U) presented by USF faculty, as well as information about the use of Podcasting-related technologies. On hand will be experienced podcast developers and supporters from the College of Education’s Florida Center for Instructional Technology, the Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence, USF Libraries, and Academic Computing. Other topics include methods for delving into the rich repository of ready-made podcasts for use in teaching and information on creating podcasts. Handouts will be provided and plans for more detailed follow-up support for teaching with Podcasting will be discussed.

Please reserve a space by registering in advance: email Dawn Christian at christian@cte.usf.edu. If you have questions unrelated to registration, please email Diane Williams, dwilliams@cte.usf.edu.
